I provide therapy for individuals, couples, families, adults and children. I have worked with many different clients providing the support needed for change. My experience at various social service agencies, at a child and family clinic; and in a college clinic has given me the opportunity to work with many adults, children, adolescents and families. I find my training in marriage and family therapy is particularly helpful for my clients in that it helps individuals better understand their relationships with themselves and others in their life. I regularly look at the systemic process in relationships, and at attachment issues.

I have been practicing for many years, and my education background includes a Doctorate degree in Christian Counseling, a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a State certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and specialization and extensive training in Functional Family Therapy Approach.

Stephen (Steve) Willmot is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 29 years experience working in mental health. Though much of his experience is in forensic mental health, he also has experience with adults and adolescents in outpatient and community settings. Steve has masters degrees in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University at Dothan, Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor credential.

I began my career in the Human Services field over 24 years ago as a contracted social worker under the Department of Human Services, working with families, couples, and individuals including teenagers and emerging adults in Treatment Foster Care and Juvenile Probation system.
