I believe the cornerstone of effective therapy is a collaborative therapeutic relationship. If clients can be actively engaged in the treatment process, the potential for growth and change can be profound. I strive to engage clients of all ages and backgrounds to develop personalized treatment approaches to meet their unique needs and goals. Whether managing life stressors or coping with depression, anxiety, substance use or trauma, I work with clients to help generate insight, identify strengths, and develop practical coping strategies to navigate their every day lives.
Drawing on two decades of experience as a Drama Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in mental health, substance abuse, and school-based settings, my treatment approach is eclectic and integrative; relying on a wide variety of strategies ranging from traditional psychotherapy to CBT to creative arts and mindfulness techniques.
During these uncertain times, the need for mental health and other supportive services continues to be on the rise. While more resources are continually being made available, the challenges to finding them may create obstacles to obtaining them. As such, I also offer consulting service to help individuals and families navigate this system in the NYC area.
