I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 30 years experience helping children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of emotional issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems as well as child and adolescent behavioral problems. I trained and worked in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at UMMC in Jackson, MS for 30 years. I currently practice as a therapist in a private psychiatry setting. I am a provider for Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances for mental health.

Therapy is a means to gain insight and identify solutions in pursuit of a fulfilling life. I provide individual and family therapy with adults, teens, and children who are seeking to make changes and improve their quality of life. I specialize in these areas: body image and eating disorders, family conflict, depression and anxiety, and relationship difficulties.

I am a Grand Canyon University graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health program with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy. I am currently an Intern at Counseling Associates, LLC. I am originally from San Diego, California where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from San Diego State University. I am motivated to help teens, couples, families, and individuals through their challenges using whichever model, tool or skill that the client needs. In my free time, I enjoy spending it with my family and three dogs, especially outdoors.

I am honored to be working with Wright Counseling Group here in Oxford. I have spent the past 22 years as a school counselor helping teenagers and elementary students, families, and staff. Counseling is my greatest joy and passion. I look forward to working with both adults and children in the therapeutic setting.
