I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years, with experience in mental health, medicine and agriculture.

I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have found this to be a therapy that has given freedom to many of the individuals I work with. I also have a background in working with substance abuse treatment, depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, codependency, and trauma. I want nothing more than to provide a safe space and an open ear to all those who meet with me.

Jeff also specializes in working with men's issues including sexual integrity/addictions. Using an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Jeff journeys alongside his clients empowering them to live out the life they desire to live and serving as a compassionate guide along the way.

In my 30 plus years as a mental health care provider, I have found that regardless of how skilled a clinician I may be, I am only effective when I have successfully developed a working relationship with my clients. This relationship is key to addressing issues, providing encouragement, and enhancing the client's personal motivation. To make the necessary changes in thinking, beliefs and behavior, I work together with my clients to bring about about their desired goals. My areas of focus are anxiety and depressive disorders, treatment of trauma, and marital and family issues.

I genuinely care about working with others who are striving to find happiness. I work with individuals of all ages and couples who might be struggling to reach resolution, accept themselves, or find internal peace of mind. I am partial to using a creative and experimental approach with clients. However, depending on their situation, I'm more than happy to make adjustments as needed. Families ETC is a community counseling center, located on the Northwest Nazarene University Campus, that offers affordable counseling services for children and adults. We offer individual, couple, family, and small group counseling. We also provide parenting classes and relationship seminars on a rotating basis.
