I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are in need of support with life stressors, relationship challenges, emotional concerns and skills training to help manage everyday life challenges. I utilize a client focused approach where my first priority is always to develop a safe and comfortable relationship which serves as the basis to begin exploring the more challenging aspects of life and promote overall wellness. Ultimately, I want to help clients clearly identify specific obstacles, learn how to overcome them, and then move on to accomplish their goals.

As a marriage and family specialist, I work with families, couples, and individuals with a variety of presenting needs. My work focuses on extinguishing present problems while also searching for long-term solutions at their root cause. I work with many different needs, specializing in problems with anxiety and depression, identity development, men’s issues, life/work transitions, and forming/maintaining positive healthy relationships. I believe the sure-fire way to peace is through an affirmation of identity and I incorporate this into all the work I do. My priority is your growth and helping you get to where you want to be.

I help my clients understand the logic behind their emotions. Once they understand how their mind (logic) and heart (emotions) work, they are better able to use their new tools to reduce or stop depression, worries, pain, and relationship problems. Marriages improve and children behave better once these principles are put into place. They learn how to meet their needs in a healthier way and break the abusive cycles of behavior. I work with couples, families and individuals of all ages with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, parenting and relationship issues.

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and attorney with 14 years of clinical experience and 24 years of criminal and family law experience. My counseling practice includes working with adults, children, couples, and families on a variety of issues.

Update 10/24/23: I currently have openings for new clients. Your partner complains that you are too disorganized and scattered. In fact, they complain they have to be your private secretary. I have worked extensively for the past ten years with individuals who have various mental health diagnosis. I enjoy working with families/couples in finding a resolve to the struggles we face daily as well as with children who are living with unresolved past traumas. I love working with children utilizing play therapy techniques and watch them begin their healing process. I offer EMDR for treating past traumas, anxiety and depression both with children and adults.

I have been in the counseling field for over 20 years and have tremendous experience working with several populations. I have learned that individuals have the innate capacity to grow and become their best selves, given an environment in which they can do so. Asking for help to do this can be very difficult. Danielle is a Licensed Practicing Counselor in the state of Idaho, a board-certified counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors, trained in EAGALA (Equine Assisted Learning and Growth Association), a HeartMath Certified Practitioner, and an ordained minister through the Full Gospel Evangelical Association. Danielle has advanced training in Lifespan Integration, Elijah House Prayer Ministry, DBT, CBT, EMDR, and TF-CBT. Danielle aims to help the client find the strength to be freed from whatever is binding them, so that they can fully experience peace, love, and joy.

I offer counseling and mediation services to individuals in Idaho, age 18 and above. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Professional Mediator. I am also trained in Level 1 and 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy and have experience working with individuals and couples on blended family issues.
