After 26 years working in the residential treatment industry I decided to share my experience, strength and hope in a new capacity. Now I share my passion for assisting others in finding their superpowers by offering counseling services to individuals, couples and families, supervision to developing therapists and consultation to agencies for program development, improvement and research. I adore seeing a family start to work together and every member of that family become their most effective. I love working with therapists and watching them become effective members of their team and leaders in their communities.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, working in the counseling field for over 24 years. I work with many different populations including children, adults, couples and families. Throughout the years, I have developed a client-centered approach which is pragmatic and eclectic. Meaning, my approach is tailored to client needs and not necessarily to a particular theoretical paradigm.

I’ve been practicing psychology for 25 years, specializing in individual and family psychotherapy, neuropsychology, forensic psychology, and business psychology. I evaluate and treat patients with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, chronic pain and illness, organic brain syndromes, posttraumatic stress syndromes, workplace problems, and legal issues. I have special expertise in working with law enforcement and emergency service personnel (police, firefighters, medics) and with crime victims and their families. In addition, my experience includes helping employees and managers negotiate the stresses and challenges of the modern workplace training in conflict resolution and life coaching.

I have been a practicing psychologist for the past 25 years. I work with children and adults and believe that a supportive, caring, comfortable relationship with my patients is essential to the therapeutic process. My approach to treatment is cognitive behavioral, which means I believe that our thoughts and the ways in which we view our environment and our relationships play a central role in how we feel and behave. My expertise is helping adults with chronic anxiety and/or depression, and/or grief feel better.
