My practice is primarily focused in working with couples and families. As an advanced level Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, I am careful to ensure that everyone in the room with me feels heard and understood. I work with couples dealing with affairs, addictions, loss and trauma, as well as couples who just want to deepen their already strong connection. I welcome all families, traditional and non-traditional. I work from a theoretical model that emphasizes the importance of adult and childhood attachment. I am also an experienced EMDR practitioner with many years experience treating trauma, PTSD, and addictions.

Couples can find themselves in a place where they struggle to connect and end up in defense postures, feeling frustrated and disconnected. Often, there is healing that needs to take place as well as learning to see through each other's "lenses" to build a strong attachment that will last. Many individuals struggle with anxiety, depression, and past trauma, as well as negative thought cycles, leaving them stuck and miserable. It's common for teens to experience low self esteem and confusion about the future and where they belong. It is my pleasure to work with these clients and others, to help bring hope and healing.

For me, working with teens and their families, along with couples and individuals, is my vocation rather than my profession. I help families and teens make sense of the struggles faced by kids and their parents today. I help couples rebuild strong bonds. I guide individuals into a heightened awareness of themselves and their world. My greatest passion is helping teens, families, couples and individuals heal from whatever has brought them to my therapy room.

After more than a decade of working with court-ordered clients needing to address anger management and relationship violence, I am looking for couples and individuals who want to understand why relationships deteriorate, their baggage and contributions, and how to correct the hurts & create positive relationship dynamics for their marriage and family.
