My approach to therapy is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can be seen and heard. My goal is for clients to thrive. I provide support and guidance to individuals and couples dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression and grief as well as the stresses that can arise from relationships, career, parenting, fertility, aging and identity. My work is based on the understanding that therapy can be invaluable in processing life's many transitions. Whether you are in crisis or simply need support and a place to talk, we will work together to realize the positive and lasting changes you seek.
Therapy can be a powerful tool to bring understanding and change to the unhealthy, repetitive patterns in our lives. I use an active, collaborative approach, integrating contemporary psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive-behavioral models. I draw on my experience working with diverse populations including new mothers, couples, children, and those suffering from acute grief.
In addition, I have a specialization in fertility and postpartum depression, working closely with physicians for more integrative care. Whatever your family looks like, the specific challenges that come with planning and growing a family can be uniquely stressful.
