The Gottman Method focuses on emotion, skill building for managing conflict, developing new skills for enhancing friendship, and helping couples create a system of shared meaning together. This method is tailored to the couple and the strengths and challenges facing each couple. Ms. Rosa Ruales has a Juris Doctor Degree, a Master in Business Administration, and a Master Degree in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling, which she graduated with distinction. Her intensive education, bilingual skills, and training combined with her rich multicultural experience has resulted in a solution focused counseling experience for a wide variety of clients. She works with children, families, and couples. She also provides pre-marital counseling. Whether as a couple or as an individual with sexual concerns, infidelity, conflict resolution, communication and connection Ms. Ruales will work with you to help resolve your concerns.

I strongly believe that everyone has the ability to mend and heal the broken parts of their soul and find peace, happiness and contentment. I have experienced the power and effectiveness of embarking on the journey of healing through counseling and felt the positive influences in my own life. I assist others in overcoming depression, anxiety, addiction, broken relationships, past traumatic experiences, loss and low self-esteem. I am a owner and founder of Stories Counseling, PLLC and an approved Clinical Supervisor. As a therapist and former pastor, my personal motto is that EVERY.STORY.MATTERS. I truly believe that we are not defined by our wounds and that there is true healing through refinement, redemption, and reconciliation to the self. I have an extensive background working with SMI clients and work well with clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I also appreciate working with clients who are of Native American background and I am very knowledgeable of the culture of the Akimel O'odham people. I also utilize integrated therapies such as DBT, CBT and Existential therapy when working with those experiencing grief and loss and seek to assist clients experiencing bereavement. I also work well with adolescents, adults and older adults.
