Maybe you've "been there, done that." Tried that program or seen that counselor or taken that medication. Nothing seems to be working. Once-per-week therapy doesn't seem like enough to get you over the hump, yet, spending 30 days away from home isn't an option, either. It's a good thing we believe there's no right way to do treatment for mental health issues including depression and anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, compulsive behaviors, disordered eating/eating disorders, the list goes on and on. Plus, the "problem" is never the actual problem, right?
Perhaps you've been struggling since you were five years old, or maybe something happened a year ago that seems to have you stuck. The Intensive is a step-up from weekly counseling and a step down from inpatient treatment. Participants in The Intensive spend 9 hours a week building community, learning skills and re-finding themselves.
The Intensive is designed to give you space and time to figure out what's going on within a really complex system of circumstances...and within yourself. Weekly groups range from behavioral skill-building groups to interpersonal process groups. You get to decide where to go next, and you don't have to go there alone.

We work from a harm reduction, bottom-up approach. This means we place equal importance on both behavior and the root cause(s) of that behavior. Sobriety from behaviors or substance use is not a barrier to participating in The Intensive. Therapists and group members alike offer autonomy, respect, dignity, and collaborative decision-making when determining your next steps in treatment planning.

In addition to group counseling, participants in The Intensive are offered individual and/or couple's counseling, as well as family therapy at no extra cost. We believe connection is lost and regained within a system and a community, not in a silo. Relationships with each other and with ourselves are restored as we feel safe to express vulnerability. We'll help you do that.
