I aim to provide a safe, healing, therapeutic space for all clients. I believe in self-care and developing skills or strategies to help individuals tackle any stressor they may be facing. I have experience working with children and adolescents as well as adults. My time as a clinician has allowed me to develop a passion for providing trauma informed services to clients through extensive training on sexual assault and intimate partner violence. I work from a therapeutic style that assists me in meeting the individual needs of clients I encounter. I also enjoy practicing EMDR therapy.

It's exciting to get to know each client and how I can be of help to them. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, and have a special interest in women's issues, young adults and couples. I have experience treating a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum depression, and relationship issues. My goal is for you to feel “truly seen” and supported by me your therapist as you share, discover and face fears to get yourself to a better place. I work with mood disorders, anxiety, stress, divorce, trauma, neglect, domestic violence, life confusion, medical conditions and grief.

The purpose of my work is help empower individuals to gain fresh insight and perspective. Many of my clients find themselves stuck when they are facing an unexpected transition, a loss, or just need a change in their lives. I work together with individuals, couples and families to create goals that are realistic and challenging so that they might lead more peaceful, fulfilling lives and have meaningful relationships.

My ideal client is an individual who is open to working as a team and benefiting from a therapeutic relationship in which honesty, accountability, and empathy are paramount. While a client’s concerns are unique and personal, there is nothing they cannot overcome through effective therapeutic interventions and a highly-trained and relatable clinician.

I have experience working with all types of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and complex trauma. My secondary specialties include severe chronic mental illness, relationship problems, recovery from previous domestic violence, LTGBQ+ concerns, self-harm, and developmental or attachment wounds from childhood. I continue to take continuing education classes to improve my knowledge and skills in these areas. I especially enjoy working with clients motivated to improve their lives and willing to take responsibility for their success rather than expecting others to do their work.

My idea of therapy involves being empathetic, validating, and allowing you to express concerns in a calm, nurturing, and welcoming environment. My desire is to create a safe space and build a trusting therapeutic alliance in working towards accomplishing your goals. I aim to help an individual identify their goals and values and build their motivation internally and externally. I specialize in working with individual clients 18 years and older, couples who are experiencing interpersonal conflict, & marital counseling. Issues that I work with include depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship conflict, adjustment issues.

Racheal Wilson (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is supervised by Michael Pollak, PCC-S. She provides individual counseling to adolescents (16+) and adults. Her areas of focus include bipolar disorder, dual-diagnosis, substance-use disorders, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, complex trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

I think of counseling as collaborative, where I am able to act both as a mirror and consultant. I work to highlight your strengths and positive aspects, while gently pointing out certain aspects of thoughts and/or behaviors that might be contributing to your reasons for coming to counseling. And always, I hope to foster a safe, nonjudgmental environment. I see clients by telehealth only.

When they enter counseling with me, clients are experiencing depression and anxiety. Usually it is moderate to severe; at times it is in response to a current stressful event or loss, for some clients, their depression is long standing. It is not unusual at all for a new client to have seen therapists previously, without benefit. Yet, after four to six sessions, they tell me that they have already started to experience much benefit, with this also being obvious from there presentation of self, and body language. With further sessions, the client moves into an exalted state of happiness or even euphoria. Remarkable & Joyous to see!
