I am an outgoing, energetic, self-motivated, skilled therapist with a passion for working with children, families and adults. Being a psychotherapist has been a passion for since I was school age. I’ve seen children and adults struggle with self- harm, depression, anxiety, school difficulty and what seems like defiance. The children carry the symptoms of the dysfunction and try to manage it the best way they . I believe that if it is possible to resolve any difficulties within a child, individual or family that is where the work should begin. By beginning with a member of the family than the family unit can grow and heal together.

Daily living often overwhelms everyone's ability to cope and be our best selves. Dissatisfaction, and disappointment in our jobs, choices, life circumstances and relationships can find us feeling "stuck" and with limited options on how to improve our situation and move towards a better more fulfilling life. While there are many things we cannot change, working with a supportive therapist can help us reduce our anxiety, awaken our sense of self, find acceptance and foster emotional stability and life satisfaction.

I have been practicing as a clinician for five years with adolescents, families, couples, adults, and children. I have strengthened my skills in assisting individuals overcome anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns and family conflict. My training has been in crisis and trauma work as well as with families through the Functional Family Therapy model.

Typically, the usual approach to addiction begins with the premise that something is broken, and needs to be fixed. You will often be given a list of things to do,and a time frame to do it in. I believe that my job is to help you reflect on why you behave and think the way that you do, and coach you to begin the process of making the changes you need to make in your life in order to heal. Change begins with you. It is important to become more solution-focused, and not distracted by worry and anxiety.

My approach focuses on experiential awareness and processing, while working through present day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is holistic in that it views symptoms as attempts at coping.We work together establishing a calm place within you, through the enhancement of personal awareness, resources, and developing coping strategies; we then progress beyond coping skills, moving through the roots of old learning so that your change is lasting, and from the inside out.
