As a seasoned psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I work with both individuals and couples. I am experienced and comfortable working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, trauma or abuse, stress, and life transitions. It is certainly not necessary though to have identified a problem in order to meet with me, as I also work with people who are feeling stuck or unfulfilled in life to find ways to move forward differently. Couples most often contact me to work through relationship problems that have arisen, improve communication, and restore the connection.

These have included wilderness, residential, and alternative school programs; local/international community outreach; and a secure rehab facility. He believes that many mental health challenges are rooted in adverse experiences and focuses his therapy with a trauma-informed lens. Utilizing a strong therapeutic relationship, Mike’s work is based in psychodynamic and existential theories which allow his clients to connect the dots between the past and the present, and cultivate a more intentional future.
