We’ve all been stuck in a rut before. Sometimes we don’t even know how we ended up there. What we do know is that we find ourselves consistently frustrated with the same problems or the same people, having the same unproductive conversation or argument over and over again. It’s stressful and exhausting and sometimes it makes us want to give up. If you are longing to feel like "yourself" again, I can help you create space for shifts in the patterns that make you feel stuck. Most of the time, these patterns started off serving an important and positive purpose, but have likely outlasted their initial use.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Family Systems Therapy in working with clients, although my goal is to integrate these theories in an organic and relevant way to each person’s journey. Clients can come in on an individual basis or invite others in to the session for couples' or family therapy to learn and engage in new styles of connection.
I believe relationships are a mirror by which we come to understand and see ourselves more clearly. My hope is to create a healthy relationship with clients, with respect for boundaries and uncomfortable emotions, which can be used as a model and guide for other relationships in their lives.
