Hi there welcome! Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or constant worry can make even getting out of bed feel exhausting. For many children of immigrants, anxiety & depression are shaped by cultural expectations, family pressures, and the need to hold multiple identities at once. You may be asking yourself, Am I American enough? Desi enough? Others may feel overwhelmed by their present responses to trauma experienced in the past. EMDR is an effective approach for many clients seeking relief from trauma symptoms, anxiety or complicated losses they are struggling to grieve. I personalize my approach for each client.

I believe one of the bravest things a person can do, is to begin to understand their strength. When entering the therapy room with me, the expectation is that you are the expert of your life. It is not my job to tell you what to do but rather to assist you in discovering it on your own. I feel as if I didn’t choose to be a therapist, but rather this job chose me. My life experiences have brought me to the point in my life to be able to assist, support, and uplift my clients through whatever has brought them to this point in theirs.

As a therapist, I work to develop a secure & trusting relationship with clients rooted in transparency and mutual vulnerability. We will work together to find your strengths, parts of you that have been lost to society’s grueling demands. How can you access a deep level of emotion when just trying to keep your head above water today? When you juggle a job, school, children, relationships, it can be challenging to experience moments of joy. My goal is to encourage you in your journey and help to make life more manageable & fulfilling-improving your interpersonal relationships, job/school performance and life.

Relationships are a tremendously important part of our lives. When they are going well, they are a great source of joy, comfort, and meaning. When they are not, they can be painful and consuming, and lead to depression, anxiety, and despair. I specialize in helping people with all kinds of relationship challenges, from healing after affairs, to deciding whether to stay in a marriage that seems to have lost its life force. Maybe you are in a business partnership with someone that you are having trouble relating to these days, or struggling to find new meaning after the kids are grown and gone. I can help you find some clarity

Modern life can put our nervous systems into constant overdrive but there are ways to manage it and gain peace and balance. As a therapist for 25 years I have seen grief, trauma, relationship crisis, health crisis or many other stressful events create patterns of pain for clients in relationships, physical or emotional health, perfectionism, disordered eating, repeating negative cycles in dating, chronic health symptoms, health anxiety, compulsive behavior, anxiety or feeling dissatisfied with where one is in life. I am here to help you make sense of what is happening and feel better in your body and also in relationship.

Welcome, thanks for visiting! Most important to know about therapy with me - my approach is rooted in creating rapport and connection rather than following a technique or a formula, and I believe deep conversations flow from being understood. Together we can build insight and discover the origins of your concerns - I enjoy facilitating the "deep dive" with an inquisitive, exploratory perspective led by mutual curiosity. Whether you're going through a messy break up, burdened by perfectionism, struggling in relationships, or simply wanting to understand yourself better - I'll help guide the process of self-inquiry and reconnection.

You've built a life that looks great on the outside, but inside, is it a different story? Do you feel the impact of old wounds that never fully healed? Do they show up as distance in your relationships, irritability or just an ache that you can't quite name? Have you been told you're “too closed off” or “hard to read”, but the fact is you keep your guard up because letting it down never felt safe? You're not looking for a pep talk or a set of quick tips. You want something real—a chance to dig beneath the surface, to understand why you react the way you do, and to choose connection over protection.

Accepting new clients. Life can feel overwhelming—whether you’re finishing college, finding your footing in adulthood, or facing the realization that things aren’t unfolding the way you hoped. Maybe work feels draining, relationships are unraveling, or you’ve found yourself relying on alcohol, food, substances, or self-harm to cope. Others shut down through depression or constant anxiety. When these strategies stop helping, support matters. Reaching out is a meaningful first step, and choosing to care for your mental health takes real courage.

Your symptoms didn’t come out of nowhere—they developed in response to what you’ve lived through.
Adaptations. Chronic pain, chronic illness, grief, depression, exhaustion—after years of stress, loss, displacement, or having to be strong for too long.
Some of the people I work with are navigating an invisible weight of cultural rupture & survival.
Others live in bodies that hurt, are uncooperative & feel unfamiliar due to illness or trauma & systems that didn’t recognize their needs.
You may be told:
“Nothing is wrong” — yet the pain persists.
“Just manage stress” — without guidance.
“Try harder” — despite being depleted.
