Cory Bernard, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Bloomfield
I specialize in working with women and their families during the perinatal period (pregnancy and postpartum) who are experiencing problems with mood, thoughts, relationships, adjustment to pregnancy or parenting. Perinatal Mood Disorders can strike heterosexuals, homosexuals, surrogates, adoptive parents, foster parents, or those who have had a loss of pregnancy or child. I am able to work with you on creating a Postpartum Plan or on addressing resource and support deficits. Through specialized training I am able to address the very particular struggles that strike during the Perinatal Period. Pregnancy and parenthood can be difficult times. I can help.
I also focus on working with young women entering adulthood and struggling with relationships, independence, mood instability, life stressors and adjustment to adulthood. I work with my clients to identify inner strengths and supports in their environments to address the issues they are encountering.
In my practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have experience working with individuals encountering mood and thought disorders. I have worked with individuals in crisis and individuals addressing ongoing life issues. Please call for a free phone consultation to see if I am the right therapist for you!
