I work with adults who feel a loss of personal identity, feel paralyzed by fear of expressing themselves authentically and pursuing their desires, or feel a sense of dissatisfaction in their life. I am passionate about helping people discover or re-discover their sense of joy and unique way of being in the world. I believe that humans are inherently expressive and creative beings but as we develop, our external circumstances often teach us that our natural instincts and authentic selves are wrong, which can result in anxiety, self-criticism/judgement, meaninglessness and depression.
I believe in the healing and transformative power of art, creativity and expression in therapy sessions. I utilize expressive art therapy and somatic therapy in addition to talk therapy as a way for my clients to process and transform emotional pain as well as deepen their understanding of themselves.
Being human is extremely difficult. Often we do not receive the support necessary to navigate the complexities of our own experiences in life and that’s where therapy can come in to help. My role as your therapist is to support you with developing your own inner compass that can be a guide through the ever changing landscape of your life.
