This is a eight-week group for individuals with problems falling and staying asleep and for people who wish to reduce or eliminate sleep medication. Goals: 1) Understand and change thoughts and behaviors that don't let you fall asleep 2) Acquire new lifestyle behaviors that improve sleep 3) Control stress and anxiety during the day. 4). Relax and prepare for sounder sleep. 5) know what to do when you wake up in the middle of the night. 6) taper, reduce and eliminate sleep medication. Individual initial consultation is required for group enrollment. September 29- November 17.
This is a three hour workshop: a mind, body and energy approach to restorative sleep and well-being. You will benefit if: you experience high stress, anxiety, or tendency to worry and ruminate; you cannot fall asleep or stay asleep, have a chronic illness, chronic pain or if you just want to learn to achieve and sustain an integrated, general state of well-being. Goals: begin to identify and track hyperarousal of the nervous system, begin to identify and release thoughts, habits and behaviors that don't let you relax an sleep, as well as body tension and restricted breathing patterns.
