Life can be really hard. Sometimes we need a little help to move through the tougher times. I’m here to help guide you in becoming more aware of how you feel, what you think and how to communicate your needs to yourself & others. I work from an integrative perspective, incorporating mindfulness with traditional therapeutic approaches MBSR & MBCT. My approach incorporates movement, internal work and meditative practice when appropriate. Also laughter, love, support, conversation rehearsing, and action plans.
I work with clients, Allied & Queer, ages 18-70+, of diverse ethnicity/religious backgrounds, sexual orientation, male, female, non-binary, transgender, with people experiencing issues with ADD, anxiety, relationships, divorce, coming out, communication, family, discerning religious life, depression, career decisions, managing stress.
I believe treating the whole person is essential for healing. Sometimes medication is helpful and necessary. However, I also offer holistic options when appropriate such as Mindful Stress Reduction (meditation) to manage stress, PTSD, Anxiety, etc. These techniques are easy and can be used with or without medication.
