Whether you have previously seen other therapists or if this is your first time seeking help, I am an active and curious therapist which tends to make it easier to engage in this process. I believe that every one of us deserves to live the fullest life we can, even with the very real obstacles that stand in our way.
Although I have worked successfully with a variety of clients in various settings, my specialty is how folks relate to others. I also work with individuals struggling to live the life they want in the presence of anxiety, depression, stress or grief.
I work with couples, individuals and families struggling with communication and connection. I also provide consultation services for businesses, organizations, and small groups. The work I do is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based form of CBT which incorporates mindfulness and behavior change strategies.
ACT focuses on learning to live fully even when painful things show up. I invite you see how life can be when we take the wheel back from our noisy minds. I currently see clients in my Lafayette and Baton Rouge offices.
