I have experience working with teens, young adults, and other adults managing the challenges of life and social pressures. I have experience in supporting clients with concerns such as depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, peer conflict/bullying, stress/worry, self-harm, self-esteem, school-related issues, racial/ethnic identity, racial microaggressions, and racial trauma. As a former collegiate athlete, I know how unique athletes' needs are and support is needed for struggles with their specific mental health issues (i.e. depression, anxiety, injury, end of sport).
My communication style includes active listening, empathy, direct/clear communication, as well as providing helpful feedback. I listen without judgement. My goal is to help you feel comfortable discussing anything with me in session.
Helping others is a value my family engrained in me at a young age. Through my own healing journey, I found that many people also would love to speak to someone who looks like me and has a cultural background similar to mine. Representation in the therapeutic realm is important. I love to help others thrive and not just survive!
