I'm currently a masters student at the University of Iowa working towards my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am an intern at North Star Psychological Center. I have worked with clients who face challenges with anxiety, depression, trauma and LGBTQIA+ issues. I enjoy working with individuals from all backgrounds, especially folks from LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
My therapeutic style is centered around creating a safe space where clients can be authentically themselves. My approach is made up of trauma-informed modalities as well as mindfulness and strengths-based modalities. I practice within an Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness of Parts Framework that integrate attachment theory and polyvagal theory.
My primary objective is to curate a space and therapeutic relationship my clients need in order for them to access their fullest potential. This is achieved through collaboratively working together as a team to identify, address, and treat specialized areas for each individual client.
