Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile! Just as I expect my clients to take the risk of bringing their authentic selves into the room, I bring myself to our sessions too, in the form of humor, candor, and empathy. I love working with clients who struggle to ask for help or express their feelings and needs in relationships. I invite a lot of feedback as a therapist to help clients practice advocating for themselves. I see all kinds of people, but I especially enjoy working with parents, teens and adults struggling with disordered eating and body image, and NICU moms.
Many of my clients find themselves stuck in negative patterns of thinking or ineffective behaviors that hold them back from the life they want. If you feel that your actions, your feelings, or your place in life don't match with the kind of person you want to be, I can help.
I bring much the same energy to my practice that I do to my friendships: warmth, wit, insight, and genuineness. I'm always reading a book (and will be happy to provide recommendations!) I hope you'll find our work to be both a comfort and a challenge.
