I enjoy working with people who have a desire to get to know their authentic self. I believe that a warm, spacious, empathic and interactive relationship with my clients is key to the healing process. I will teach you a method to make sense of your inner experiences as well as your interactions with other people. I will help you identify the particular roles that you played in your family system and the resulting patterns of behavior that inhibit your self- expression, creativity and intimacy with others.
Much of your therapy work will be developing new, nurturing and life-giving behaviors to replace these survival patterns learned in childhood. I have a holistic approach to therapy in that I work with the mind, body and spirit of each person.
I utilize an eclectic style which includes Transactional Analysis, Family Systems, Gestalt "empty chair work" and body awareness to encourage each client to discover within themselves the power to change their experiences and to make more creative choices in everyday life.
