Social Skills Group: Ages 11-14 (All-Gender)
Does your child want to make more friends or deepen existing friendships? Does s/he have trouble fitting in? Does s/he avoid interacting with peers? Is s/he a target of bullies? Is s/he shy or anxious in social situations? This group focuses on helping children foster age-appropriate connections. Members will learn to make and keep friends, become better listeners and develop flexibility. They will learn problem solving skills, work on regulating emotion and improve frustration tolerance. and will be able to test out new roles (e.g. being a leader/more assertive), while having fun.
