My treatment style is patient-centered and my approach places emphasis on rapport-building and therapeutic empathy directed at patients for self-directed problem solving.
To facilitate patient progress toward emotional health, my theoretical orientation is Brief-Solution Focused therapeutic conversations using a cognitive-behavioral approach. My anxiety treatments utilize both cognitive and supportive strategies which include systematic desensitization, relaxation, training and imagery rehearsal.
Pain management treatments include basic stress management, cognitive restructuring, focused distraction techniques as well as medication compliance and addiction monitoring.
