About
In a space of warmth, comfort and acceptance, I offer you an experienced therapist who listens closely, actively, inquisitively- with the goal of helping you to feel heard and understood. I strive to help form the questions that need to be asked, to discern that which is in your control, to divine the source of your pain, and to use humor, laughter, tears and plain talk to make sense of your world; to motivate and help create an authentic healthier you. Over a 30 year career, I've acquired experience that includes: counseling and therapy, program management, training and consultation.
I believe that every individual is unique and multicultural (based on: ethnicity, religion, geography, gender, sexual preference, parenthood, livelihood, interests, hobbies, peer group, health practices, etc.). From this vantage point, together, we can define your world, explore your concerns, and strive to achieve a feeling of relief, stability, or centeredness.
I have a special interest in working with adults - providing couples, individual and group therapy. I work clinically with mood disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety), personal trauma, career/work problems, relationship issues, women's issues, identity challenges, parenting concerns, spiritual concerns, and issues of discrimination.
