Connor McSweeney here, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Helena born, 5th-gen Montanan. Growing up in Helena, with much of my family on the highline (in the Fort Benton and Malta area), I have deep values that I find embodied by many Montanans: kindness, community, stewardship, and humor.
Even with strong values, life can be heavy (to say the least). Not to mention, research shows that rural communities face extreme mental health disparities. What I offer in therapy is a space to identify strengths you possess and values you attempt to embody, while also holding curiosity toward emerging issues as you identify potential resolutions.
