I'm Connor, the head athletics mental health clinician at Washington State University. I work with athletes and others on their general mental health and sport psych performance issues. On the performance side, I treat performance anxiety, lack of confidence, burnout, and more. On the clinical side, I work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, difficulty with stress management, big life adjustments, grief, hoarding, and more. Regardless of the model, I always provide a warm, positive listening ear with a strong desire to help.
I believe that, in order to address psychological distress, we must build self-awareness around the origins and triggers for that stress. I use ACT and growth mindset to increase resilience, coming to terms with the challenges of life and performance and learning from difficult situations instead of avoiding them, as well as teaching coping skills.
I'm looking forward to getting your email or call! I respond M-F from 5-8 (and occasionally Sundays), so if you email me during the day, look out for an evening reply. I'll typically schedule a free 15 minute consult with you before we determine if we're a good fit for each other.
