*Currently accepting new teletherapy clients only* I am a registered, board-certified art psychotherapist and licensed professional counselor. I specialize in working with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and eating disorders. While not all of my clients use art making in session, I have found that when it is hard to talk about pain, a picture is worth a thousand words. Art psychotherapy requires no skill or artistic background, and can offer you a chance to express yourself in a new and transformative way.

It's tough raising kids today. Work, family, and social responsibilities can be overwhelming at times and can contribute to worrisome symptoms in kids. We can walk through your concerns together and develop a practical plan with strategies and tips that will provide symptom relief for your family and child.
The evolving challenges of raising children involve the addition of new technology and an ever-increasing pressure to succeed. Keeping on top of these dynamics can at best overwhelm and at worst alienate those in even the most healthy families. Teens pass through a stage of fluctuating hormonal levels, while negotiating burgeoning independence, and navigating the waters of social media along with peer pressure. Meanwhile parents are dealing with keeping a household afloat, managing the family and their careers, while often having aging parents and/or dealing with grief over their loss. When teens and parents need a little help or mental health challenges require more effort for daily living than they should, learning new coping skills with or without medication can make a difference. Discovering what influences behaviors and learning ways to express what needs to be said can empower parents and their children to find more happiness and fulfillment in life. Sorting through these challenges and developing coping techniques that help organize and balance communication is my goal with all families and individuals.

Perhaps life has thrown you some difficult situations and you need help sorting them out.
I help people to help themselves by assisting individuals, couples, and families in making decisions and developing skills to enhance their lives. Life is filled with challenges and transitions. Sometimes we need someone who will listen with compassion and help us move from where we are to the next more comfortable resolution. I will be your compassionate witness and confident guide. You will set the goals and I will help you to achieve them. "Every decision you make brings you closer to where you want to go or further away." -Heather Lagace

I ask my clients to be open, honest, and patient with themselves through this process, and I offer them support as we work toward relief. Hopefully my approach offers what you're looking for.

I have been trained in, and enjoy practicing, body centered psychotherapy. This modality focuses on obtaining a deep understanding of the human person and offers the possibility of a more profound transformation than is commonly expected when engaging in popular methods of therapy. A central goal of body centered psychotherapy is creating the required safety and support to allow a person's own spirit to guide a healing process which addresses issues that hinder the experience of peace and joy that is the birthright of every human person.
