My therapy style is grounded in mindfulness and positive psychology, focusing on empowering clients to build a stronger sense of self. I help clients reframe negative thoughts, develop coping techniques, and use tailored homework assignments to foster growth and a healthier sense of identity. I often tell clients they’re like a puzzle with all the pieces they need—I’m simply here to help them put those pieces together. Through this process, I guide clients to recognize their strengths, stay present, and find value in themselves as they work toward personal growth and fulfillment.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in marketing, where I noticed the struggle to access quality mental health care. This gap inspired me to switch careers and help close it. My interests also include the mental health impacts of COVID and chronic illness. I’m actively involved in research in these areas and love seeing people build confidence and feel better. Specialized care for OCD is often hard to find, I'm excited to work with NOCD to provide this need. At NOCD, my team and I focus on evidence-based treatment for OCD, supported by our intensive training in ERP—the gold standard for OCD treatment.

I won’t give a long spiel about hope and joy here, but what I will say is that life is hard and therapy can be really helpful in managing the ways in which what we have been through impacts us.

At times life can be unusually painful, scary and confusing. Generally speaking, we may feel anxious, sad, discouraged and alone, and not know what to do. When someone listens to us carefully and in a compassionate, respectful way, we learn how to listen in such a way to ourselves, to our own inner life. Talking things out with someone in this special way can help us become clearer about who we are, our strengths and also our self-defeating ways, so we can move forward with an improved sense of self and direction.
