I am a bilingual (Spanish-English) profesional with 20 years plus of experience in the mental health and addictions field. I am dedicated to working with individuals and couples to help them to develop skills to change negative behavior, allowing them to live a healthy and productive life. All that we have experienced in our lives can make us grow or feel stuck, leading us to live a happy or depressed life. I help the client to understand and gain insight into their situation, to have hope and to gain skills to be able to manage their problems without feeling overwhelmed or in despair.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Care is an outpatient mental health facility that has served the Eastern Connecticut community for over 30 years. CPC is a team of multi-disciplinary mental health practitioners who work together to best serve the needs of our patients. Our staff are experienced, licensed, mental health clinicians who adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards. CPC clinicians are trained in a wide variety of therapeutic orientations including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic (insight orientated) therapy, & Child Centered Play therapy. .

Building on her original psychodynamic training and work with children and adolescents, she incorporates learning from family therapy and newer therapies and research, including EMDR, into her work. In recent years, she has worked particularly with adults dealing with serious illness, grief, childhood trauma and with couples seeking to improve their marriages.

I'm a retired Navy Drug/Alcohol Counselor with 24 years' experience in varied clinical settings. Now I have my own private practice in a quiet, peaceful setting. I began practicing as an in-home clinician working with people after discharge from long-term psychiatric hospitalization. It was during that period that I received intensive training to provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy. The intense dialectical process has been helpful for many of my clients to achieve stability and work towards resolving traumatic experiences. Part of regulating our behavior is teaching our body and brain to better regulate so I also specialize in Neurofeedback/biofeedback modalities to support behavioral interventions.
