I began practicing as an in-home clinician working with people after discharge from long-term psychiatric hospitalization. It was during that period that I received intensive training to provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy. The intense dialectical process has been helpful for many of my clients to achieve stability and work towards resolving traumatic experiences. Part of regulating our behavior is teaching our body and brain to better regulate so I also specialize in Neurofeedback/biofeedback modalities to support behavioral interventions. My background is in chemical dependency training at state and local hospitals where I worked at various levels of care from those who are very early in recovery to those with sustained recovery and ending at a community mental health facility where I supported individuals in transitioning to medication assisted treatment out of Department of Corrections. I was trained as a Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor and worked supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence while they transitioned out of narcissistic patterns of abuse. I have worked with children who have mood disorders, attachment disorders, and conduct disorders.
