My name is Conchata Richards and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of mental health practice and over 25 years working in the human/social services field. I am trauma-informed, compassionate, empathetic, and open-minded in my approach with clients to build rapport and help them feel comfortable to work to overcome their struggles.
I am an Existential and Solution-Focused Therapist who focuses mostly on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Client Center Therapy to help clients gain insight and the motivation for change in their own lives while being empowered to recognize that change is okay and possible.
I have a passion for working with special populations including trauma, substance use, domestic violence, and victims/survivors of sexual assault. I am also experienced with working with clients with criminal justice issues as I gained this insight while working as a correctional officer and earning my undergraduate degree.
