I am here to counsel people who want to feel happier more content or to reach their goals. Some common problems are depression, substance abuse or dependence, anxiety, relationship, anger, bi polar, psychosis and schizophrenia, and family problems. Counseling supports the client to discuss and understand ones issues, needs, style, while developing insight and learning new skills. Most issues can improve through individual or family counseling. We will work together to improve your; emotional health, problem solving and goal setting. Having a counselor who listens and hears what you are going through can help you move past your stuck point.
How we handle difficulties in life can lead to personal problems. Troublesome experiences can lead to ongoing patterns that can be self and relationship destructive. I apply excellent communication skills and use a variety of approaches to help improve problem solving, coping leading to growth and positive change.
I use a Wellness (Whole Person) approach and am experienced in various types of Meditation re. Christian, Yoga, Mindfulness, Stress Management. I prefer to apply a consumers strength based approach but also rely on a variety of therapeutic approaches as needed, such as cognitive therapy, family approach and 12 Step.
