I am grateful for the opportunity to work with many courageous people over my years as a therapist. Clients often enter my office not knowing how therapy works or how it might benefit them. In today's world, people seek help due to symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder, depressive disorders, sexual concerns, fertility issues and other persistent issues. What I've learned is that clients know themselves best, and through the help of a collaborative therapeutic relationship they're able to facilitate change in their lives. I collaborate with clients on their therapeutic journey in individual, couples, family and group sessions.

I have always had a passion and a deep respect for humanity, for learning about others, for appreciating the differences and personal histories, and for discovering how individuals' values drive their own power to heal themselves. As a therapist, it is my privilege to be a mere facilitator of the discovery process. I have extensive experience in numerous therapeutic techniques and am oriented as a family-systems therapist. I am also a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). I help my clients to: proactively manage themselves; identify and implement new behaviors that dissolve negative patterns; and provide guidance and support as the new, positive patterns are cemented. I work most effectively with: Individuals; Couples; and Families. I help my clients set realistic treatment goals so they can quickly see the results they desire.

Times of struggle and pain can also be times of positive growth. When we learn that we have choices in how we respond to the situations in our lives, we can become empowered to choose to respond to stressors in a way that enables us to move forward in an intentional and positive direction. It is my goal to help you discover the choices and strengths you have to cope with the challenges you face and to also discover the gifts that are so often hidden in adversities in order that you might actively choose the future you want.

Licensed as a clinical social worker since 1993, I have worked in the behavioral health field since 1979 in a variety of mental health and addictions-focused settings, including inpatient/hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and educational programs. I have been working with individuals and couples for 20 years. Many of the clients I see suffer from depression, anxiety, work issues, and relationship issues (including communication problems, feeling disconnected, infidelity, and divorce). I help clients find new ways of coping, seeing and thinking, and relating. Although I am knowledgable and skilled in several therapeutic methods, I don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" therapy.
