I have 12 years of clinical experience and have worked with individuals of all ages facing a multitude of challenges including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, parenting concerns, gender identity needs, relationship issues, self esteem and overcoming everyday stressors. I enjoy providing education regarding the impacts of childhood trauma and how to use that information to better understand ourselves and how to heal moving forward.

I have many years of experience working with individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families with relationship and parenting issues. While I see clients who are struggling with a variety of issues (depression; anxiety; relationship difficulties; and questions of meaning, purpose, and self), I specialize in working with those who have experienced religious trauma - those who have been deeply hurt by the messages they received as part of their religious experience and have not felt the freedom to tell their story. Clergy and laity alike need space to express and reflect upon their hurt, their sadness, their anger, their disappointment, and their doubts.

I believe that there is currently a large population of highly successful professionals who are struggling with these issues in an unhealthy way, such as watching pornography or sex. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in sex/porn addictions, multiple addictions, trauma, abuse, and PTSD.

My ideal client is someone looking for a significant change in their life. They may struggle with past hurts, shame, isolation, trauma, low self image, resentment, self-hatred, depression, or anxiety. They need someone to listen and to provide a safe place free of judgement where they will be heard. Their goals might include finding freedom, seeing their situation in a new light, gaining hope, finding their voice, or integrating their life experience and their spirituality.

My name is Felicia Typaldos and I am a provisionally licensed professional counselor here at Counseling Group of the Ozarks. In my free time I enjoy playing with my two cats, watching anime, reading books, and learning. I like learning so much that I graduated from Missouri State University twice. Once for my bachelors in psychology and once for my Masters in clinical mental health counseling. My path to being a counselor began with personal tragedy involving the sudden death of a loved one. I went to therapy and it was an immense help while I tried to hold myself together.
