Hello, I'm Sara, and I am a licensed clinical social worker passionate about helping individuals who are experiencing challenges which are either getting in the way of daily functioning or inhibiting you from living the life you want. My approach focuses on each person's strengths and includes skill building to assist in overcoming these challenges and creating lasting change. I see clients ranging in age from children to adult and most individuals I see are seeking support in areas of anxiety, depression, grief or loss, challenging life transitions, or trauma.

Samantha is a Limited Licensed Social Worker who obtained her Masters degree from Spring Arbor University. Samantha has experience working with children and teen survivors of sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. She believes strongly in creating a safe space to bring about healing and change. Samantha strongly believes in authentic connection in the therapy space and strives to create that with each client. She is trained in TF-CBT and utilizes trauma informed approaches when working with clients. In her free time she enjoys going hiking and bike riding with family, and caring for her two horses and dog.

I feel privileged when I am invited into your life to share in your pain and suffering in order to try to help you understand, heal and grow from the emotional wounds and trauma you have experienced. I believe our relationship is one between two equal individuals who will work hard to help heal and understand your wounds. We will be travelers on the journey of healing together and both be changed by our time together. As a therapist who specializes in working with children, I often use therapeutic play (Play Therapy). Play is expression, communication, and learning for children. It is by using play therapy that I connect with kiddos, help children learn new skills, and join with them in processing their life experiences. I enjoy coaching clients and professionals through life-stressors, trauma recovery (PTSD), mediating relational issues in couples and family therapy, and helping clients develop healthy coping skills for anxiety, depression, mood and impulse disorders. I help clients set and reach achievable long and short term goals to give them a sense of productivity and accomplishment through solution-focused therapy.
