I accept Colorado Medicaid, I also offer sliding scale if needed.
I believe our natural state is health toward which we constantly strive. Sometimes, we encounter situations that interrupt this process. These interferences can occur at any point during our lives and they sometimes leave us searching for ways to cope. There are many ways to heal, and I engage psychotherapy from a contemplative lens. I specialize in healing through a depth approach and I work with people to uncover the wisdom of their true essence. I use tools such as talk therapy, dream exploration, writing, and tarot toward this effort.

I accept Colorado Access Medicaid, and am OON with all other insurances (I'll provide a superbill to you to seek reimbursement from your insurance).
Do you find yourself wondering, “Am I doing this right?” about your own life? Questioning if you’re on the right path, how to feel less alone, or why you tend to be a people pleaser? I help people who find themselves numbing out and feeling misunderstood by people in their lives. People who might be overachievers, but are internally struggling with low self-esteem and anxiety. You might be looking to feel more engaged in the present moment, and ultimately be able to befriend yourself.

It can be tough, this being human. Sometimes it can seem we've lost pieces of ourselves, those that provide us meaning, steadiness, direction, and joy. I believe in your brilliance! Whether you've been upended from a major transition or are hoping for greater empowerment in facing your lifelong struggles, I am honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can cultivate deep healing and self-acceptance using mindfulness techniques, tangible skills, and exploration of the patterns, beliefs, and relationships which have shaped your perspective. All of you is welcome here.

I am able to accept Medicaid and Kaiser Permanente insurance.
Now accepting new telehealth clients! Stay home & get counseling you need! I specialize in working with tweens, teens, and young adults who have anxiety or an eating disorder. Many of the people I work with feel like they don't have control of their lives and are trying to gain control. They have trouble sleeping at night. They can't seem to turn their brains off and worry about the future. They tend to go to worst case scenario in their minds. They struggle in their relationships, which often also feel out of control. Body image issues, self-esteem difficulties.

Now accepting Medicaid, Medicare (original and some advantage plans), Aetna, Anthem, United, CLLI, CES waivers and clients enrolled under CYMHTA.
I have firsthand experience with how nerve-wracking it can be to begin therapy, whether it is for the first time or with a new therapist. I prioritize creating a safe and welcoming environment for clients. I believe that the depth of healing that is possible through therapy makes it a risk worth taking, but the approach and temperament of the therapist is undeniably important. That is why I strive to provide each client with the individualized support they need to make the changes they want to make in their life. With the proper support and resources, I believe that every person can seek the healing they desire.

Emotions impact and affect the body causing us to hold them on a physical level. I work with the mind-body connection, utilizing mindfulness techniques, Neurofeedback/EEG Biofeedback, EMDR, breath work, and meditation, viewing the body as a whole to address trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. As a somatic therapist, I combine these techniques to help clients become aware of trauma stored in the body, and work to resolve the trauma and empower the client. I engage the wisdom of the body to heal trauma, depression and anxiety, and move through life transitions by unifying the mind-body connection.

I currently take Colorado Access/ Medicaid, and am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance, and can provide a Superbill to help with reimbursement.
Many of my clients seek a non-judgmental and knowledgeable space to support their experiences of sexuality, gender, and relationships. Many arrive into therapy experiencing barriers in their sexual and relational health: they feel out of control, disconnected, or stuck in painful patterns. Some of my clients seek a space that affirms gender and sexuality, non-traditional relationships, and the whole of their identities to discuss broader struggles or integrate life transitions. No matter where we begin together, I am always whole-person oriented, collaborative, and client-led.

I specialize in helping clients work through automatic negative thoughts as well as retraining the brain to be a more compassionate place. Reaching out for a therapist is the first step in beginning to heal negative pathways. I believe that together we can create a safe, secure environment where issues, problems and harmful inner dialogues can have a voice and move towards healing. It can be difficult to identify these negative cycles but together we can find a plan which works for you. Therapy looks different for every person but begins with the therapeutic relationship, trust and vulnerability.

Does insurance cover therapy, prescriptions and other behavioral health services?

In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential. This means that life coaching and alternative therapies are not covered, nor is therapy without a diagnosis. Call the number on the back or your insurance card or visit your insurance company's website to review your Summary of Benefits. If you have insurance through your employer, your Human Resources department may also be able to answer questions.

How much does therapy cost with insurance?

The cost of therapy depends on your region, how much training and experience your therapist has, and the type of treatment. The rate for talk therapy generally falls between $100 and $250. For a client seeing an in-network provider, the cost of therapy is often similar to the cost of other health care services. Clients pay co-pays and may need to satisfy a plan’s deductible before benefits kick in.

What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance coverage?

An in-network provider has contracted with an insurer to get paid directly for services, and to accept the insurer’s rate of compensation. Clients are responsible for deductibles and copays. If a therapist is out of network, that means that the client pays the therapist directly for services at the therapist’s regular fee. Out-of-Network providers often give clients a receipt so that they can file for partial reimbursement with their insurance company.

Is it difficult to find an In-Network therapist?

It is not unusual for therapists to limit the number of insurance patients in their practice, so it’s important to check in-network availability when you schedule your first appointment. In regions and times where therapy is in high demand it may take longer to get scheduled with an in-network therapist.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans?

HMO health plans only cover in-network services, there is no reimbursement for out-of-network providers. PPO plans often cover both in- and out-of-network services, though the client may pay more for out-of-network services.

What is a Superbill?

A superbill is a receipt for therapy services. It provides all the information required by insurance companies to reimburse you for out-of-network services, including the diagnostic codes for your care, the amount paid, and the dates and duration of care.

Does insurance cover Online therapy?

Many therapists who shifted their practice to online therapy during the pandemic have kept that arrangement. And most insurers continue to cover telehealth services, with a few exceptions. Preventive care (such as an annual depression screening) is often required to be in-person to be covered, and some states require prescribers of controlled substances to see those patients in person.

Does insurance cover Group therapy?

Many insurance plans provide coverage for group therapy provided there is a medical diagnosis for group members, but there are some noteworthy exceptions. For example, Medicare does not always cover group therapy. Group therapy tends to cost less than individual therapy.

Does insurance cover Couples therapy?

Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of couples therapy because there is no medical diagnosis or medically necessary treatment. However, a few plans will offer a limited benefit, so it is still worth checking with your insurance company. Sometimes therapy is covered for a couple when one person has a diagnosis and another family member joins them for joint therapy, but it is considered therapy for the medical condition that includes a family member as a listener or helper, not couples counseling. Without insurance, most clients pay between $100-300 per 60-90 min session for couples therapy. Often clients can find classes or workshops that make it more affordable to work on their relationship. And some employers offer benefit plans that help defray the cost of couples therapy.
