As a therapist, the relationship I develop with clients is based on respect, support and encouragement, and is focused on building their individual strengths and resources. I believe that a nonjudgmental and welcoming environment is crucial to provide a safe space for clients discuss past and current issues and move forward. In addition to private practice, I also work as a bereavement specialist for a Michigan hospital system assisting individuals who have experienced major loss. My experience includes supporting individuals and families navigating significant health crises.

I work with adults who are seeking help with anxiety, caregiver fatigue, chronic illness, infidelity, grief, loss and transitions within life. My approach is eclectic, tailored to each individual, and uses strategies, techniques and tools that best fit the needs and preferences of each client.

When life feels overwhelming and decision making becomes difficult, finding a place to explore your feelings can be the first step towards a happy and balanced life. I love my work and feel privileged to be able to share the journeys of my clients.

Open and ongoing grief support group endorsed by St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Pontiac. Facilitator is Colleen M. Lambert, Grief Specialist. For more information, please contact Barbara Stephen (Bereavement Specialist) at (248) 858-3036. This group meets the third Wednesday of every month at both 11am. and 6pm. via Teams invite. Resuming October 2022 through May 2023; meetings will be offered through Teams. Please contact (248) 858-3036 if you would like to be included.
