We at Cira Center for Behavioral Health (CCBH) believe that therapy is based on research & science, both of which are incredibly important, but know that nothing is more important than feeling heard & understood without any judgment. When a strong, supportive relationship is combined with direct feedback and skill building, people change & lives improve. We primarily work with adults who are struggling with significant life changes (divorce, starting a family, moving to a new city, etc), stress, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem & trauma. We offer individual & group therapy services.
Myself & my associates specialize in trauma & women's health (Certified Clinical Trauma Professionals, CCTP) Trauma includes physical, sexual, verbal &/or emotional abuse; a caretaker who struggled with their own physical/mental illness, addiction or divorce/separation, etc. We also work with single incident traumas (sexual assault, accidents, divorce, etc).
CCBH is proud to offer Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidenced based intervention that has been proven effective for treating chronic as well as single incident trauma. I have been using this technique for several years now and have seen tremendous progress in a very short amount of time.

Groups
Teens Process Group
Teens Process Group is an open-ended part process-based, part skills-based group for teens who are struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image and relationships. There is a pre-screening intake that is required before beginning. BCBS PPO, UHC and Self-Pay are both accepted as payment options. This group will start meeting virtually in May 2023, and will be facilitated by Lexus Goings, LCSW. If interested and want to be added to the waitlist, please write to admin@ciracenter.org.
