Dr. Drosdeck is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience providing psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, families as well as psychological evaluations. Her approach is personable, interactive, strength-based, and solution-focused and primarily uses evidenced-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT approaches. In addition, Dr. Drosdeck has completed an intensive 100-hour course in Substance Abuse Counseling. Dr. Drosdeck work with psychological evaluations provides a deeper understanding of cognitive, academic, and/or personality factors to enhance therapy adjustment.
Dr. Drosdeck has prior experience developing and managing intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults with severe internalizing symptoms, self-harming behaviors, suicidal gestures/attempts, and adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Her background also includes assisting with forensic evaluations, co-facilitating mediation, parent coordination, family reunification, and completing risk assessments and crisis stabilization services. Furthermore, Dr. Drosdeck has facilitated clinical staff trainings and provided ongoing clinical supervision.
