Laura Byard is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health as a leader in mental health care and clinician providing telehealth services throughout Colorado. During her career she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings that include individual counseling, inpatient, schools, and residential care. She specializes in supporting those with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Laura also has experience supporting law enforcement, Veterans, women’s issues, relational issues, suicidal ideation, work stress, trauma recovery, and other topics.
Laura's utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing techniques, Gestalt Therapy techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy as well as other techniques to influence her practice. As a clinician she uses humor and laughter as well as compassion and kindness to support you through your therapeutic process.
