Announcement icon I am currently offering virtual psychotherapy to people in North Carolina.
As your therapist, I will aim to clearly understand your current struggles as well as the goals and values you are working towards. My approach is holistic in nature and will weave your life story, strengths and beliefs into our work together. I believe in the healing qualities of honesty and communication and will encourage both to be a part of your therapeutic process. I specialize in many areas, including helping people struggling with eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions and low self-esteem.
People facing challenges in their relationship with food deserve a safe space to talk openly about these struggles and a person who gets it. I have specialized in working with people with eating disorders for 7 years and value the opportunity to walk with people on their recovery path.
My practice style is warm and eclectic. I pull from many different therapy models in every session and work hard to tailor our approach to your needs, not just your symptoms or diagnosis.

Colie Taico's Groups

Group for Binge Eating and Emotional Overeating

The Balance Group offers a safe place for people with binge eating disorder and/or emotional overeating to learn about the role that food is playing in their life and the skills needed to change it. Mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, self-care, and relationship skills are presented and practiced with the goal of decreasing and ultimately ending binge eating and/or emotional overeating episodes. This group is designed to be an adjunct to individual psychotherapy and nutrition counseling and engagement in both is a requirement for members. This group is on going and open every 8 weeks to new comers when openings are available.
