My work with clients is always with a heart-centered approach; listening and understanding each individual's experiences and offering a safe and non-judgmental place for expression. As a therapist, I can assist you with coping, stress reduction and emotional difficulties. I work with adults and elders struggling with big trauma as well as smaller traumas, substance use disorders, anger and relational issues, depression, anxiety and grief.
I am certified in EMDR through EMDRIA (EMDR International) andThe Parnell Institute with an Attachment-Focused EMDR credential to address not only PTSD but other relational traumas that can cause anxiety, depression, fears and low self worth. My training in EMDR and Hakomi Method (mindful somatic psychotherapy) helps with awareness of long held core beliefs.
I am also trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS level 2 ) which offers a compassionate approach for individuals to express various "parts" of themselves that may act and react to other people and situations. All of my specialty trainings work to assist individuals with profound awareness, lessening of symptoms and greater sense of feeling at ease.
