I use Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Experiential, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I am accepting new clients and offer Online Counseling via Telehealth. I've provided over 10,000 hours of therapy and like Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life." I manged LDS Family Services for 13 years and loved directing the 12-step Addiction Recovery Program in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. I've been recruited by multiple residential treatment centers, a hospital, a skilled nursing facility, and by an IOP program assessing and treating substance abuse and domestic violence.

Every person has value and experiences challenges as part of living. I enjoy working with individuals helping with change and growth in their lives. I am excited to work with people in understanding challenges they face, helping them to work through these challenges in a more productive manner, and using the knowledge and tools I have to benefit their needs. I enjoy using the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Play Therapy; as well as Mindfulness techniques. Creating a safe place of trust is priority, a place where the client can open up and address their most sensitive and difficult challenges.

I am trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy.
I believe the pathway to healing looks a little different for each of us even though the human experience is similar in many ways. While we are all connected, we are also uniquely individual with a “fingerprint” of experiences, thoughts, and beliefs. Sometimes the most difficult challenges we face have a profound impact on the way we view the world, ourselves and how we approach life and relationships. This impact often influences our emotional, mental, and physical health.

I specialize in using EMDR, DBT, and trauma focused CBT.
Find your voice, walk your path, own your story. I’m a believer in the resilience of the human spirit. I also know that it sometimes takes a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship to jumpstart that resilience and post traumatic growth. For those who have experienced confusing, scary or upsetting events my goal is to provide support as you process your past and design a life you love.

After raising six children, I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling, thereafter working for The Institute of Cognitive Therapy and LDS Family Services.
The majority of men and women experience and anxiety during their lifetimes. While it may be challenging to feel overwhelmed and vulnerable, it is also exciting to achieve true growth and change. During therapy, we can pinpoint what may be causing your distress and identify the pathway toward relief. The goal of counseling is to feel less distress and more self-reliance in our ability to cope with the stresses and unforeseen challenges life brings. For the majority of my clients, after just one session they begin learning the skills needed to help themselves regain hope and cultivate confidence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) Therapists
Cognitive-behavioral therapy stresses the role of thinking in how we feel and what we do. It is based on the belief that thoughts, rather than people or events, cause our negative feelings. The therapist assists the client in identifying, testing the reality of, and correcting dysfunctional beliefs underlying his or her thinking. The therapist then helps the client modify those thoughts and the behaviors that flow from them. CBT is a structured collaboration between therapist and client and often calls for homework assignments.

If you're looking for CBT therapy in Provo or for a Provo CBT therapist these professionals provide cognitive behavioral therapy, cbt group therapy, cbt therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, cognitive therapy and behavioral therapy. They include CBT therapists, CBT psychologists, CBT psychotherapists and CBT counselors.
