Hana N. Shiloach, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional Counselor by the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners of the State of New Jersey. I hold a Master degree in Clinical Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Master in MPA from Harvard University. For th last 20 years, working both in hospital and private settings, I have been providing clients with safe, caring, supportive and a non-judgmental environment. I worked with a variety of clientele, including, individuals, couples, families and groups, from a diverse cultural, ethnic, faith, and sexual orientation backgrounds.
My specialty covers cases of depression, anxiety, anger, marital conflict, family conflict, and other life stressors. I teach my clients to learn new adaptive, healthy behaviors that empower and encourage them to make positive changes. My work is aimed at providing clients with skills that can help them manage symptoms and life stressors.
In my approach, I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Both techniques help clients to increase their self-esteem, improve mood, cope with multiple stresses, and manage the strong emotions associated with depression, anxiety, anger, relationships, and life transitions.
