I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and Licensed School Professional Counselor. I work with clients in their homes and the community. Many of my clients have difficulty with ADHD, ODD, conduct disorders, personality disorders, learning disabilities in children ages 2 to 12, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, complicated grief, traumatic experiences, and self-esteem-related issues. I use a person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy approach against the backdrop of nutrition.
I offer individual, family, and group counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families. For younger clients, I utilize Play Therapy, a natural healing process that helps with trauma, emotional conflicts, social skill deficits, distorted thinking patterns, hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and oppositional behaviors in children.
I believe the body and mind are connected, and their health depends on each other. I take a whole-body approach to treating mental disorders. Adequate nutrients from fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains are needed for optimum health. Intake of Vitamin D, Omega-3, Magnesium, Zinc, and B-Complex.
