I have been in professional psychological practice since 1979, been married many years, raised 2 children and shared in raising 3 step-children, so I have many years of clinical and personal experience on which to draw. However, I am always learning and growing, and enjoy sharing the journey of self-discovery with my clients/patients. I tailor my psychological treatment with individuals (adults, adolescents, and children), couples, and families to each person's unique situation. I utilize a variety of different treatment approaches, depending on the problems presented, ranging from cognitive-behavioral, insight, family systems, to supportive reality therapy.

Dr. Stephen "David" Hall is the clinic director and co-owner of Haven Counseling Center. Dr. Hall has a particular interest in music, movies, art, and stories in general, and tries to use the theory and craft of story as a way to help the people he works with find new ways to see their lives and possible solutions.

I also work with individuals who are struggling with relationships. In working with couples, I am careful to ensure that everyone in the room with me feels heard. I work with couples dealing with communication issues and trauma, as well as couples who want to deepen their connection. I am also trained in EMDR and aim to treat trauma within both the individual and couple's context.

I am a big nerd about humans. I get excited and curious with my clients in order to better understand them. My aim is to be very real with my clients. I try to be upfront and direct, admit when I'm wrong or don't know something, and bring in humor and self-disclosure when I believe it will be helpful.
