Daniel Beck Group is exclusively focused on the practice of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. All sessions are being conducted by phone or video. CBT is action-oriented, practical, rational, and helps patients gain independence and competency in dealing with real-life issues. CBT helps the patient learn effective skills to change the way they think, feel and behave. Unlike many practices which use a variety of modalities, this practice is unique in exclusively focusing on CBT.
Daniel Beck is a Teaching Associate at Harvard Medical School, a Clinical Supervisor in the Department of Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, on the Faculty at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia, and an Instructor at the Boston University School of Social Work.
As a CBT Therapist, I fully appreciate that patients' challenges can be very personal and not immediately obvious. I see my work as understanding how your thoughts, behaviors and beliefs can cause suffering and get in the way of you achieving your goals. I work in the 'here and now' and am less interested in events from years and decades ago.
